most new computers, in your area. My computer, only a couple of years old, has 240mb RAM, less than the memory demands of Chrome (and a 1.4gHz single-core processor). Public schools, poorer families, struggling companies - they could well have worse computers still.

Given the bloatware that is firefox, not to mention IE, and the usual simplicity of google, I was really hoping for a lightweight product. It's already an issue.

'Barth attributed the heftier memory appetite of Chrome to its multi-process tabbing model, where each tab is actually a separate iteration of the browser. "It's use of that model, which, according to Google, helps isolate failures and protect complex Web applications, [that] means that it will always use more memory than Firefox, IE 7 and similar, single-process browsers," he said.'
from here. That will count against it. I wonder if they will release a version without this 'feature'?

VK - haha sorry! I didn't realise you were actually blogging again! I haven't been reading. But now I am. Looking good, btw.
Luckily no-one reads your blog :P (Jokes!)

I'll only miss toolbar links, I think. But yeah, will be interesting to see how add-ons go. I hope we get some creative ones.

It would be cool to have a Thunderbird-esque gmail app build in... or would it?
