Dear Christian, is this your attitude to Jesus: “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go”?
Then what have you done with His reply: “Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head” ? (Mt. 8:20)
Look around you – Jesus lived in poverty. Have you followed Jesus there? Will you?
« I haven’t eaten in an hour and I’m hungry (20,000 die each day) Confusion »

I’m damn sure you’re not posting this from a box beneath the underpass…
Of course not – see post below this one. The impetus behind this post is a realisation that I, personally, haven’t. And I’m currently working through how I’m going to change my life to be more Christ-like.
Should we follow Jesus there? I’m not sure, in and of itself, wealth is a bad thing – it’s simply the love of it. By all means, if it’s causing you to sin – cut it off. Go live under your bridge, if that is what you have to do.
However, I don’t think Christian posse’s of homeless people are going to be effective evangelisers. Be in the world! Don’t be that weirdo who lives down the street (or in the alleyway) but be someone who people want to relate to. Be in the world so you can show the world what more there is.
