I love it that Jack Johnson loves his wife
I’ve got an angel
She doesn`t wear any wings
She wears a heart that compelled my own
She wears a smile that makes you wanna sing
I just found another reason why I love Jack Johnson’s music (and I love his music).
When he sings, you can tell he loves his wife.
“Maybe we could sleep in, I’ll make you banana pancakes… We got everything we need right here, and everything we need is enough, It’s just so easy when the whole world fits inside of your arms” – Banana Pancakes
It’s a great contrast to the myriad of ‘love songs’ which say the word repeatedly but show just the opposite. Many of Jack’s songs are love-songs penned to his wife (Better Together, or Angel). They’re so nice to listen to – he is happy, content with his wife, and he loves her.
My favourite song at the moment is Do You Remember:
Well, I was crazy about you then and now
The craziest thing of all, over ten years have gone by
And you’re still mine, we’re locked in time
Let’s rewind

In a Rolling Stone interview, Johnson said: “A song like ‘Bubble Toes,’ I don’t know if I would’ve written that song knowing a million people were gonna hear it,”
