Currently, I need to remember something, feel like it, and not be distracted, simultaneously, before it happens. Unlikely.
What’s your strategy?

I reckon anyone reading this is automatically unqualified to comment
Kidding, let’s hear your tips!

dave allen is the man!!
Thanks Dave! I had dabbled in GTD sometime last year, but never fully implemented it.
I’m scared. Do you use it? Does it work? Have you adapted it?
It just seems so… enormous and systematic! How hard would it be to do it all!
I like spontanaeity – I recognise that structure and organisation here equals more time and therefore freedom to spontane (new word) later…
I think the other thing that scared me about GTD: I don’t want to become a ‘doing-things’ machine. I’m scared of being sucked into becoming a goals-focussed, driven, success. I already find it hard enough not to put things I need to do before God. The last thing (it feels like) I need is to spend more time thinking about them.
Thoughts?
Any general principles? Or should I just go the whole hog?
hey hey,
I didn’t read that whole wikipedia article, but I do the writing stuff down thing. I love lists. Especially to-do lists. If i take 5-10 minutes to write one, I feel 100 times better. And even better, I then don’t forget to do any of it! (and then i don’t have to think about them til i have time to do them, do them, and cross them off. Crossing stuff off is also a great feeling)
Hey Jess, thanks for the comment!
I’m getting into lists. I definitely like the feeling of crossing stuff off – but then, when after a whole wednesday of no uni you realise you haven’t done anything to cross off… not the best feeling.
I just gotta stop leaving my list at college….
