On public speaking:
Speak more slowly. Pauses let structure emerge (can even write [pause]). If relying heavily on notes, ensure they can be referred to with minimal head movement. Share personal stuff.
Speak less like I’m trying to ram information into unwilling ignoramuses, more like I’m sharing with interested, clever, humans.

I now trying to picture what this looks like. Does your church do vodcast??
Love your people, Haysey. Love your people.
haha! I think its the result of taking a good attitude too far. The good attitude “I’m going to anticipate the congregation’s doubts and questions, and answer them” becomes “I’ve got to persuade these hard-hearted skeptics against their will.”
In practice, I suppose it might come across as a ‘me vs you’ tone?
I usually don’t bring my battering ram with me up to the platform, I save that for when I’m rostered on Sunday School
