Hi, a friend of mine recommended Reformed Charismatics? Part I: Introduction | The Crazy Australian to me so I came to see it. I must say it is quite a website. You sure make me come back again. I just wanted to ask you what your theme is called and if I can find it for free.

John Piper spoke on this in 1991. He was asking the question, Why did those who lived with the apostles (Acts4:30)feel the need to ask God "to stretch out his hand to heal and perform miraculous signs.." Why wasn't bold proclamation sufficient for them? Answer: to bear testimony to the testimony of the apostles about person and work of Jesus(The Gospel). The Gospel is the power of God for salvation. Other things just help to shake people up enough to listen and question their presuppositions.
He doesn't address the present but asks why their prayes should be any different from ours.
