Update: Lots of link-love this morning. If you’re new, welcome! I should say that the real innovators of this are these cool cats: Michelle, Dave, MPJ, JMoff, Doug, JMoff again and Sam – they are the original wordlers.
After Wordling John, the entire New Testament (all 175,743 words of the ESV) seemed the logical next step. Click for full-sized image:
Someone should do a greek New Testament so I know which words to learn.

You beat me too it!
Very interesting though – notice how God, Jesus, Christ, Lord are MASSIVE and Spirit is way smaller…
Interesting! I didn’t notice that. Mind you, I think ‘spirit’ is bigger than it would be if you were to do a wordle of all words said in evangelical churches these days. (Then again, so would Jesus and God…)
The difference is less noticeable if you omit the 4 gospels, but there is still a difference…
Do one for Pauline Epistles only, Haysey.
Hahaha do I look like a clerk?
I must be mad! Without Hebrews:
Including Hebrews:
The four gospels:
The four gospels and Acts:
James through revelation:
That ought to just about cover it. Any more requests? If anyone wants me to email them the text of the New Testament so they can come up with their own crazy books (Pauline Epistles + Mark + Jude, anyone?), just use the contact button up the top.
HAHA – My spam filter caught that comment
haysey, get back to study like your mum told you to
Time to put through the text of the entire bible? Old and New Testaments?…
How hard would it to do your whole blog?
How hard is it to write a coherent sentence?
Obviously tough for me! Hehe!
the whole blog.. you could just do it with a cloud plugin i suppose. But getting all text from a whole blog would need a new plugin to be invented
I set my settings to show 200 posts on a page; here is the TCA wordle (not including comments):
‘hayesy’ is so big because it’s on every post. Wish I could work out how to include comments…
I’ve written over 30,000 words this year! And a large proportion of them have been the word ‘good’…
CJ, watch the ESV blog in the near future.
Man, you got linked by the ESV blog and also JT. Your hits are going to go through the roof today…
Thanks for the heads-up!
Sweet!
i just did Romans: http://wordle.net/gallery/wrdl/83578/Romans

Looks nice!
Take a screenshot of it, paste into your favourite image editing program, resize if you want, save.
